HIGH SATURATION

The ‘High Saturation’ series is an exploration of the female portrait and distortion, through the use of photographic techniques. This series also explores motion blur and a contortion of the subject's identity. The use of an orange tone with a high level of saturation creates an ‘unreal’ image. This exaggerated tone also creates a sense of distorted radiance.

The gaudy orange shade is reminiscent of the overexposed highly edited portrayal of beauty in advertisements and fashion magazines. Through precise paint application, a smooth appearing, flawless skin texture is created, as though filtered for an advertisement.
